The Galway Summer Garden is located just beyond Blackrock in Salthill and our entrance is via the old Spinnaker Hotel which is immediately after the golf course and before O'Halloran's Caravan Park.


What are the opening hours? 

Evening sessions - 6pm to 11pm* (kitchen 6.30pm to 9.30pm)

Afternoon sessions (Sat. & Sun. only) - 11am to 4pm (kitchen 12.30pm to 3pm)


How does it work?

You book in for the entire 5 hour session and we allocate your party to tents on the basis of 6 per tent. If there are more than 6 people in your party we allocate your group across more than one tent which will be next door to each other.

Each tent has its own designated toilet (the number will correspond to the number of your tent) for the exclusive use of your group.

Drinks and food are ordered contactless and brought to your tent.

The programme of entertainment throughout each session typically comprises of small groups of musicians who move around the park and DJs.

Is there a time limit?

Galway Summer Garden is classified as an outdoor gathering and the time limits for indoor dining in restaurants do not apply. You have the option to stay until the venue is closed each evening.*

And Toilets? 

Each tent has its own designated toilet (the number will correspond to the number of your tent) for the exclusive use of your group.

What do I get for the €25 cover charge?

1.   Use of a private bell tent for 5 hours. Each tent is furnished in either a lounge or dining configuration, with tasteful décor, soft furnishing and fresh flowers.

2.   A designated toilet for your party (the number will correspond to the number of your tent) for the exclusive use of your group.

3.   An evening of entertainment which ranges from comedy to musicians to DJs.

What extra do I get in the VIP experience? 

1.   All of the above + a glass of champagne on arrival

2.   Enhanced décor in the VIP tent.

Public Health Guidelines?

Your tent and its allocated toilet is yours and nobody else’s for the duration of the session. It is sanitised before you arrive.

Food and Drinks are brought to the table at the door of your tent and ordering and payment is contactless.

Hand sanitiser and wipes are provided throughout the site and in each tent.

The details of one lead contact are taken for each group and should we need to get in contact for any reason - including for Covid contact tracing purposes - we will touch base with that person and by extension the entire group.

Is Parking available? 

Parking is available free of charge.

Overnight parking is available but please be aware that the carpark will be locked overnight and you will need to wait until the following morning to collect your car.

And accessibility? 

Please advise us in advance of any mobility issues you may have so that we can assign you to an accessible tent with an accessible toilet.

What do I do when I arrive? - Check in!

 On arrival to the Summer Garden please make your way to the reception area to check in. You will then be shown to your allocated bell tent which will become your little haven for the evening.

If your group is not arriving together please ensure that the remainder of your group knows the name that the booking is made under to ensure their smooth check in. Please provide us with the names of anyone in your group who is still to arrive after you have checked in.

Each Bell tent will have a number which corresponds with your designated toilet for the evening. This will be for the sole use of you and your group for the evening.

Ordering drinks and food?

The full bar and food menus will be in your tent on arrival and are available to view in advance on

You then place your orders via WhatsApp throughout the evening and 'pay as you go' or settle up your tab at the end of the night!

Please note that in order to provide you with a contactless service, we cannot accept cash and all transactions must be completed by card.

You can even pre-order your first drink by WhatsApp to 087 4142092 - don’t forget to include your name, booking day & time.

You can't bring your own food and drink to the Garden. 

What should I wear?

Please do remember that as beautiful as the garden is it is a grassy area so we strongly advise against wearing heels. There are a limited number of  blankets in your tent, but the evenings do get chilly so it is advisable to bring a cardie or a coat!
